Congrats to Manjari Gollapudi, Dallas SWE’s April Member of the Month!
Manjari’s journey began as an entrepreneur in India, where she founded and led an industrial engineering consulting firm, fueled by her academic prowess with a Doctorate degree. Her zeal for education led her to teach undergraduates in India before embarking on a research stint in the USA as a postdoctoral scholar. Even there, she remained committed to her teaching passion, guiding graduate students in research methodologies.
Driven by a profound commitment to gender equity in STEM, Manjari has dedicated herself to inspiring young girls. She’s actively involved in various initiatives, from mentoring graduate students to volunteering with organizations like Women and Technology at her former workplace, State Farm Insurance. Her engagement with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) began in 2015, igniting her involvement in events geared towards fostering STEM interest in children.
Currently, as a Software Development Manager at T-Mobile, USA, Manjari leads a dynamic team of engineers delivering software solutions for telecom consumers. Despite her demanding role, she continues her altruistic pursuits during her free time. Whether teaching underprivileged children in low-income communities, volunteering at Dallas SWE events, or participating in community clean-up and Earth Day activities, she remains steadfast in her mission to cultivate a love for STEM among young girls.
For Manjari, the Dallas SWE serves as a platform to synergize her professional expertise with her passion for advocacy. It provides her with invaluable opportunities to inspire and empower young girls, instilling in them the seeds of curiosity and ambition for rewarding careers in STEM.
