Congrats to Sree Kanuri, Dallas SWE’s January Member of the Month!
Sree Kanuri has more than 10+ years of experience in product development with a focus in developing smart automation solutions that enable the customers with increased uptime and productivity. Throughout her career, she has worked on solving a variety of problems by combining her experience and education in Technology, Manufacturing and Business. Sree currently manages the “PC as a service” portfolio at Dell Technologies and played a key role in launching the Apex Managed Device Service offer that provides small & medium business customers with a turnkey subscription to PC life cycle management and IT operations. She is passionate about developing and launching zero-to-one products. She has worked on about nine different new product launches so far. “I love going from nothing to something and seeing it take off,” she says.
Prior to this, Sree Kanuri worked at Overhead Door where she enabled the company to enter a $300M market segment by leading the design and development of a full line of Smart Automatic Access Systems from concept ideation to mass production. These products provide real time intelligence, remote connectivity and preventive/predictive maintenance thereby enabling the customers with improved productivity and longevity in the cold storage, manufacturing & warehousing industries. Her technical expertise enabled her to achieve 3 patents in the field of smart materials and manufacturing. Her work is presented at International Trade Shows (NADA and IDA) and International Symposiums (SAMPE). For her exemplary leadership, Sree is recognized as the high potential leader of the company. Sree holds an MBA from University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in mechanical engineering from Florida State University.
Sree Kanuri was invited as a judge to many national and international business awards including Stevie, Globee and International Business Excellence Awards. Sree is very passionate about customer success and always strives to bring the right solution to the market. Her clients really like her enthusiasm to build innovative solutions and rely heavily on her technical and management expertise for their business needs. Sree is an active volunteer of Society for women engineers and Women in Product. She mentored several young engineers as a part of Society of Women Engineers and Dell intern programs. She served as the judge for SWE scholarship and emerging leader awards committee. She served as the chair of Product management club and American Society for Mechanical Engineers during her graduate and undergraduate years. Sree lives in Dallas, TX with her husband and her 5 year old son.
