On Saturday June 11th, Dallas SWE hosted a Membership Appreciation Event at Freeplay, Inc. We started off with a presentation to recognize the executive board and the committee members who helped put together events for Dallas SWE this past fiscal year. In addition, we recognized the Member of the Months and the scholarship recipients for FY23. Afterwards, we got some appetizers and had a good time networking with new members, catching up with old friends, and playing some good old retro arcade games.
We also had an opportunity to recap some of the events we held in FY23. We had the opportunity to learn how bright the younger generation is through outreach events like DYW and Girls Inc. Also, the professional development events were very educational like the Resume Roast with Analog Devices. The social events like the Spring Social gave everyone an opportunity to meet people in a casual setting while working on art projects. Finally, we have had some great book club meetings this past year.
Thank you to all the members of Dallas SWE for making it a great year – we would not be able to do any of this without your support and enthusiasm! Let’s see what FY24 has in store for us!
