On Thursday December 6th, Dallas SWE members gathered at Flying Saucer in Addison for our annual holiday party to celebrate the end of the year. Over 18 of our members joined us, despite the rainy weather, to get in the holiday spirit with great friends, food, games, crafts, and prizes! Throughout the evening, we enjoyed terrific networking while making new friends and crafting homemade ornaments (which may or may not have been eaten on the way home!).
Dallas SWE President, Zaineb Ahmad, said a few words to recognize the great work of our section and members this year. She recognized our section for most recently winning the WELocal Outreach Award for our bi-annual Design Your World STEM Conference for Girls!
Thanks to the generosity of our members, we also were able to collect a great heap of books for the Dallas Library through our member book drive! Thanks to Molly Sing for coordinating this effort.
