On Thursday, October 11, Dallas SWE members and guests gathered together and The Olive Garden in Addison to learn more about the great work being carried out by the local North Texas Professional Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB). Current President Julie Jones gave an engaging presentation on the background of the organization and updated us on current projects. She shared her recent experience in Culli Culli Alto, Bolivia where she and a small group learned about the water needs and culture of the community. EWB is in the process of working with the community to determine a plan to increase water accessibility to improve quality of life and economic activity.
