On Saturday, February 20th, several Dallas SWE members joined the Caruth Institute for Engineering Education at Southern Methodist University for their annual Visioneering Outreach Event. Over 900 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students participated in a design challenge competition on (re-)designing the classroom for the future (2025). This event was made possible by a Program Development Grant with the Society of Women Engineers through a generous donation from the ExxonMobil Foundation. With this funding, Dallas SWE members distributed “Future Engineer” buttons to all student attendees! We also passed out fliers on the new SWENext program for K-12 students to become SWE members.
